Casual Waterfront Family Contemporary Retreat
This house built in Mediterranean style by studio MPR Design Group, is located in Coogee, beachside suburb of Randwick, 5 miles south-east of the Sydney central business district, in the state of New Due south Wales, Australia. Completed in 2010, this casual family contemporary retreat has a magnificent view over the ocean and the coastline, a place where the fourth dimension stands still when y'all're looking at it. The crystal articulate h2o from the infinity puddle is the identify where the horizon meets the ground, creating a continuous space.

The entire house is built with a Mediterranean mode, with a combination between concrete walls, wooden floors and lots of open spaces with wooden decorations, rocks and plants. Overlooking the beautiful landscape, the building has several balconies with wooden beams and poles, strategically chosen to requite it an former look, in harmony with all those exterior foundations made of minor pieces of stone.

The interior is also decorated using wood, a natural material which gives a warm breeze to the entire location. In the living room we can see an unusual circular table, perfectly matching the cozy furniture and the modern fireplace. The aforementioned colors pallet is used in the dining room, where three beautiful, modern lamps, placed above the table, enlighten the whole room. I call up the main building thought for this house was to create a space surrounded by nature equally much as possible, if not use natural, ecological material instead.
